The PWM business model, fee structure, and philosophy cater uniquely to the photography business.  We have been devoted to creative arts business management for over 25 years and are well versed in the advertising, editorial, and fine art photography business from multiple perspectives.

 

We understand the volatility and “feast or famine” nature of the business, and PWM implements a demonstrated business model that increases stability and allows for better long-term planning, success, and freedom.   

 

PWM handles personal and business bookkeeping, day-to-day financial operations, and personalized communication with our clients on financial matters.  We manage vendor payments and client billing with industry experience that helps to maximize profitability and efficiency, while simultaneously retaining healthy client relationships.

 

We also oversee the operations of independent licensed financial planners and accountants that we supervise with neutral third party expertise.

 

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

 

Philip Wemer worked in production design in New York and Los Angeles in the 1990’s before becoming the Studio Manager for famed photographer Dewey Nicks.  He produced photo shoots and oversaw every aspect of business operations, gaining priceless industry insight by working with every member of the team, from creative directors/art buyers, to all aspects of production, through post production, for over 5 years.  

 

He later became the Manager of Operations for the respected Los Angeles photography representation agency Montage, now known as Copious. 

 

He started Philip Wemer Management to concentrate on advancing the careers of established and up and coming photographers alike, such as: Jeremy + Claire Weiss, Brian Kuhlmann, Chris McPherson, and Peter Augustin to name a few..
